Game Reporting Procedure
Umpires should use TeamSideline to input scores, either by the mobile app or the website.
Please input scores after each game or by the next day. Forfeits should be scored 7–0.
Scheduling Procedure
Requesting / Signing Up for Games
- Check this website for the most updated schedule to verify free games
- Send request to UC Jeff via email (jemorgan@gmail.com) or text 406-581-2723, or use the TeamSideline App
- Specific field requests are not guaranteed. For personal conflicts, please let UC Jeff know
- Last-minute pickups: always send a text or email to the UC — if it isn't reported, you will not get paid
After Requesting Your Game
- Before Thursday of the prior week: schedule posts Friday morning to gvsaweb.org/ump
- After schedule posts: gvsaweb.org/ump is updated as soon as a pickup request is received
After Umpiring Your Game
- You are encouraged to input scores using the TeamSideline app or webpage
- You can also text or email scores to UC Jeff
UC Scheduling Process
- UC Jeff sends a reminder email on Tuesday with available games for the following week
- Send scheduling requests by end of day Thursday
- After Friday morning, games are first come, first serve
- Each morning with open games, the UC sends a reminder email for open slots
- An updated paper schedule is posted in the umpire shed each day
Scheduling Priority / Seniority Rules
- For requests before Friday morning, seniority rules apply
- Priority: umpires who can cover a whole night (reduces orphaned games)
- Priority: umpires with more years of experience
- After Friday morning, all open games are first come, first serve — text or email Jeff to claim a game and he will update gvsaweb.org/ump
